What is Chronic Rhinitis?
When nerves are out-of-balance, it may send too many signals to your nose to drip, run, and swell more than necessary. This is the cause of chronic rhinitis.
Chronic Rhinitis Symptoms:
- Runny nose
- Stuffy nose
- Post-nasal drip (mucus in the throat)
- Congestion in the morning
- Clearing of the throat
If you have tried treatments such as nasal sprays, drops, and pills but they are not working or if you want a solution that is longer lasting and does not have the side effects of medication, ClariFix cryotherapy is the right fit for you.
How Does ClariFix Cryotherapy Work?
Cryotherapy is a cold treatment that helps reduce runny and stuffy nose by interrupting the signals that out-of-balance nerves are sending. This procedure goes directly to the root of the problem—the inflamed nasal lining and underlying nerves. It delivers cold temperatures to the out-of-balance nerves in the back of the nose and stops the nerve signals for lasting relief.
What You Need to Know
Most patients begin to see improvement between two and six weeks post-treatment. Patients may experience slight pressure, a cooling sensation in the nose and/or around the molars, or some discomfort during and/or after the treatment. The most common side effect associated to the ClariFix cryotherapy procedure is transient pain or discomfort which resolves in 24 hours. Patients may also have increased congestion which may last from five to seven days.
